Woestalleen Colliery
ACMS Shelela took over all catering, laundry, office cleaning and change-house services at the Woestalleen Colliery near Middelburg in Mpumalanga in July 2009. The on-site team provides 600 cooked meals, and launders 300 overalls, a day.
The Woestalleen site is testimony to the fact that mining is not for men only. The ACMS Shelela site manager, kitchen manager and most of the staff are women.
