Alex Ingle: HSEQ Risk Specialist

Alex's career as a health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) specialist spans almost 20 years. Before turning her hand to consulting she was group risk manager at BidVest.

Alex has an in-depth knowledge of HSEQ legislation and systems, having managed the successful implementation and maintenance of the following:

  • MICROMega / NOSA: Miracles System, CMB253 Integrated 5 Star Grading System
  • Responsible care
  • Legal compliance: OHSA 18001, SAQS (safety and quality systems for the transport industry)
  • ISO 9001:2000 management systems

Jane Badham: Clinical Dietician (African Nutrition Authority)

Jane is a registered dietician with a diploma in marketing management and a master's degree in nutrition. Jane's strength is health communication – focusing on advising the media, food manufacturers and the pharmaceutical industry on food law, functional foods, nutrition and wellness. She is also a food safety specialist.

Jane is retained by the Bill Gates Foundation to advise on nutrition in Africa and is a member of FLAG (the advisory group to the South African Minister of Health).

She counts numerous prominent food manufacturers and retailers as her clients, including Pick & Pay and National Brands.

Hayley Norton Smith: Human Resource Specialist

Hayley is a specialist HR consultant to the hospitality industry following 14 years of relevant corporate employment. She has a Bachelor of Home Economics, Food and Nutrition, degree from the University of Stellenbosch and worked as a food service catering manager before switching to HR.

This done she passed Unisa's Advanced Programme in Human Resource Management. She has achieved a number of industry qualifications, and has achieved the internationally recognised Investors in People Standard, as well as SAQA Accreditation.

Charmain Lines: Communication and Public Relations Specialist

Charmain is a PR and communication consultant specialising in business writing and employee and stakeholder communication strategies. Following 14 years in a corporate environment, she established her consultancy in 2006.

She holds a Master’s degree in organisational communication as well as a diploma in Marketing. Her past and current clients include Tourvest Travel Services, Steinmüller Engineering Services, divisions of Absa and Eskom, Words’worth Publication Consultants and Paradigm Project Management.
