The ACMS Shelela management team members collectively possess a wealth of relevant experience and intellectual capital that delivers a significant advantage to business partners and clients alike.
Our remote site experience includes projects in Ghana, Gabon, Nigeria, Algeria, Sudan, Mali, Angola, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Lesotho and South Africa.
We are well versed in providing and managing the full spectrum of camp management services and can therefore confidently offer a genuine turnkey service.
John Duthie
John started the Shelela Foods Group in 1980; five years later it was the third largest industrial catering company in South Africa. In 1996, Ford Food Botswana, part of the Shelela group, won the then largest camp design/build/operate contract in Southern Africa, namely the Debswana Orapa Project 2000. Projects of similar magnitude were undertaken more recently in Kathu (Sishen), providing 11 000 meals per day.
Michael Miskin
Michael is a qualified hotelier with a five-star hotel background. He was employed in the food service industry for 7 years before moving into the camp and facilities management arena where he has worked since 1998. In addition to his strong food service background he has worked on numerous large mining and construction projects in various SADC countries.
Qualifications: National Diploma in Hotel Management (Wits Hotel School)
Certificate in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management (UNISA)
Mike Davies
Mike's experience extends from running a large South African food service organisation with more than 600 outlets to being the chief executive of a multinational camp and facilities management company with an annual turnover of GBP 100M across 13 African countries.
Major clients with whom Mike has worked include Chevron Texaco, Total, Exxon Mobil, Anglo American, BP and De Beers.
Qualifications: National Diploma in Hotel Management (Wits Hotel School).
